The Standard Fitness Model is Broken

Traditional programs make a critical mistake: they load weight on top of restricted joints. Pushing through chronic stiffness doesn’t make you resilient—it just accelerates wear and tear. Endless stretching and foam rolling feels good for the moment but the aches return the next day. You cannot fix a joint capacity problem with a strength solution.

Performance Pathways

Who This Is For

The Longevity Mindset: Adults prioritizing strength and mobility as they age.

Busy Professionals: People who need high-intent, efficient training that fits a tight schedule.

The “Smart, Not Reckless” Athlete: Those moving away from high-impact burnout toward sustainable mastery.

Recovery Seekers: Anyone navigating stiffness or recurring “tweaks” who needs a guided path back.

Who It’s Not For

Chaos & Crowds: We don’t do large, “drop-in” styles with zero coaching.

The “Burnout” Culture": We avoid “no pain, no gain” mentalities that prioritize sweat over skill.

Randomness: This isn’t for those looking for random workouts or high-pressure bootcamps.

If you’re looking to be yelled at, rushed through reps, or left to figure things out on your own — this probably isn’t the right fit.

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Alfred— husband, father, and personal trainer serving the Belmont and San Mateo community.

I’ve spent the last 20 years studying how the body moves and performs under load—from martial arts to functional strength. I built my coaching practice to give busy adults a deliberate way to train that respects their joints and their time. My goal is to help you move with more confidence today so you can keep doing what you love for years to come.

  • "I walk out of the studio feeling relaxed and move with greater ease throughout the day. "

    - T.X. (Education Administrator)

  • "This has truly become an essential part of my stress management. Thanks, Alfred!"

    - B.A. (Mother and Healthcare Professional)

  • "These classes have changed my perception of what it means to work out."

    - W.A (Recreational Athlete)

  • "Will help build strength and functional mobility. Alfred is a great teacher and is patient and generous with information. Highly recommend trying it out. "

    - W.M. (Software Engineer and Martial Artist)

  • "Alfred is super nice and supportive, makes you feel comfortable in staying at your comfort level and is attentive to help with your posture. Highly recommend!"

    - S.O. (Tech Industry Professional)

  • "Technique is emphasized over reps and there is a mandatory cool down at the end to allow the body to decompress which is super helpful to ensure one doesn't burn out."

    - C.O. (Busy Father and Software Engineer)

  • "If you're like me and years of abusing your body have stacked up try this course and see if you can feel better like I do. Five stars easy!!!"

    - C.M. (Jiu Jitsu Athlete and Small Business Owner)

  • The intentional exercises were exactly what I needed after a stressful, emotionally charged day in clinic."
